13 TweetStories and TweetHaikus

Posted by Mo on May 14, 2009 in TweetWritings |

A couple weeks ago, I wrote a short series of TweetStories and TweetHaikus. Thus, I’ve decided to create a bit of a log for all of my Tweet writings here on the blog. Granted, I know they are not literary masterpieces, but often times I find that one short sentence (or even part of a sentence) can be quite inspirational and spark a writing geek-a-thon. I know there are some TweekHaikus earlier than these, but the Twitter search function is not allowing me to go back that far… and trying to dig through my personal feed was obnoxious at best.

Though I don’t know if or when I will be having a TweetStory or TweetHaiku-a-thon again, I do plan on posting a sort of daily digest of them here on this blog. I know there are some TweekHaikus earlier than these, but the Twitter search function is not allowing me to go back that far… and trying to dig through my personal feed was obnoxious at best. Until the Twitter search function works better, I think I’ll just be kissing those goodbye for now.

1.  TweetStory: It was only with the benefit of hindsight that she realized the wreckage her life had become. He, of course, had known for ages.

2. TweetStory: They walked hand-in-hand, the sun shining upon them like spun sugar. They were happy and in love, just not with each other.

3. TweetStory: “I have something for you,” he said. And with a twinkle in his eye, he gave her more than she ever imagined.

4. TweetStory: “Are you sure?” He asked, with a devilish grin. “Yes.” And with a kiss they sealed their fate.

5. TweetStory: He realized what a horrid mistake he had made after looking through the window just a second too long.

6. TweetStory: Their hearts skipped a beat as their eyes met. Paralyzed, they were both waiting for the other to speak first.

7. TweetStory: All of a sudden, he realized that he was wrong. He just couldn’t stand admitting that she had been right all along.

8. TweetStory: Without even hearing the voice at the other end, she knew that she should not have answered the phone.

9. TweetHaiku: I waited, searching / hoping you would find me there / I blinked and missed you

10. TweetStory: He couldn’t tell what was louder: the sound of his heart breaking or her laughter.

11. TweetHaiku: if I could have you / here with me just one more day / I wouldn’t let go

12. TweetHaiku: Don’t want to wake up / bed is so warm and cozy / is it Friday yet

13: TweetHaiku: @omewan – great haiku poet / wonderful and caring friend / one to follow… NOW
