NaNoWriMo 2009
November 1st rolled around with a bang this year… at least for me. Fresh off the writer’s high of my out-of-genre experience, I have been writing up a little storm here at Frog Central. Perfect timing for NaNoWriMo!
If you’re unfamiliar, check it out. Sure, it’s a few days late, but don’t let that stop you. Jump right in and start writing your hearts out… even if it’s not something that will eventually be put on the NY Times Bestseller’s List. The goal is just to write, write, write!
I’m still working out the bugs of a few of the widgets that will automatically display my word count thus far – until then, my word counts will be posted here manually. That’s probably not a bad thing since that will give me a reason to keep coming here to post stuff.
Speaking of a reason to post: I know know if this is an issue with other writers/bloggers, but I seem to be having the WORST problem with keeping up a blog at the same time I’m keeping up with my fiction. Anyone else have this? Is it just me? Seems that I use up all my writing energy on my story and have nothing left for my blog. Personally, I hate it and I’d love to find a happy medium between the two.
That being said, my official word count is 2926 words. Now, if you’ll excuse me… I have some writing to get done if I plan on making the 50k mark by November 30th!
